Las Vegas needed Lady Gaga. And Lady Gaga was always ready for Las Vegas. Today, the beloved pop singer announced that come December 2018, she’ll begin her Las Vegas residency at the MGM Park Theater. Her stay, according to Pitchfork, will last two years, beginning after her 2018 European tour wraps up; it was cut short earlier this year because Gaga was suffering from “severe physical pain.”
The rumors that swirled said Lady Gaga would potentially make $100 million from the deal, but the Las Vegas Review-Journal disputed that. Instead, the Journal reports, the singer would potentially perform 36 dates over the two years at $400,000 per show, netting her closer to $14.4 million. Certainly not a bad deal. Either way, get ready, Little Monsters, for Gaga’s Vegas era.
