It isn’t a fun time to be a YouTuber? Logan Paul stepped away from the platform after he received massive backlash for recording and posting a video gawking at a dead body, hopefully forever. Business Insider also reported last month that a number of prominent YouTubers are seeing engagement decrease on their channels, perhaps because they keep doing dumb shit.

This morning, TMZ posted a short video that appears to show Jake Paul saying the n-word, while rapping a freestyle. Specifically, he says “little-ass niggas” before rapping about Tommy Hilfiger and other tired rap cliches over Rae Sremmurd’s song “Throw Some More.” The video is less than a minute long.

An unnamed source told TMZ that Jake isn’t racist. Side note: That isn’t exactly how racism works. The source cited Jake’s recent collaboration with Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd, who is black, on his Christmas EP, Litmas. I guess the implication is that, because he worked with Slim Jxmmi, there’s no way Jake could be racist, but again, that’s not how racism works. So who knows.

We reached out to Jake Paul’s team and will provide comment if we hear back.
