On Friday, Kacey Musgraves, the woke country music queen for people who don’t like country music, shared two new songs from her upcoming fourth studio album, Golden Hour. They’re called “Space Cowboy” (not a cover) and “Butterflies,” and they’re our Nashville savior at her sweetest. Before even pressing play on those bad boys (which you absolutely should do, at the bottom of this post), I noticed something kinda fishy about her album artwork. Fishy in that it looks exactly like the cover of iconic hardcore band Have Heart’s 2008 LP, Songs to Scream at the Sun, a release most punks know for being the first hardcore album to break Billboard’s Top 200. (It peaked at No. 193, but still, it peaked.)


I believe this means Musgraves is a secret punk, and it’s making my dang day. Check it out:
